HDClimatic V9.5 ASHRAE Climatic Design Data Lookup

HDClimatic 9.5 has just been released (Summer 2026). This is a total rewrite of our ASHRAE climatic design data software tool that completely revamps the user interface, making it more user friendly and, of course, it includes a slew of new features including the following major updates:

  1. Now includes the full 2025 ASHRAE Handbook of Fundamentals climatic design database — roughly 12,000 stations across 231 countries and territories — alongside the 2009, 2017, and 2021 editions for reference.
  2. A new cascading Country / State-Province / City search, plus a free-text station search box, makes finding a location instant.
  3. A built-in psychrometric engine automatically derives dry-bulb, wet-bulb, dew point, humidity ratio, enthalpy, and specific volume for every design condition.
  4. Totally revamped user interface that accommodates all manner of screen resolutions and scaling, plus a one-click "Apply to Project" hand-off to HD PsyChart.
At its core, HDClimatic puts the ASHRAE Handbook of Fundamentals climatic design conditions you need for heating and cooling load calculations right at your fingertips — no more flipping through printed or PDF Handbook tables. Select a country, state/province, and city (or just search by name) and HDClimatic instantly returns the full station design-condition record: winter heating design dry-bulb, summer cooling design dry-bulb/wet-bulb, evaporation design wet-bulb, dehumidification design dew-point, extreme wind speeds, extreme annual temperatures, and economizer hours — all at the standard ASHRAE percentiles (99.6%/99% heating; 0.4%/1%/2% cooling, evaporation, and dehumidification).

HDClimatic also derives the complete psychrometric state point — dry-bulb, wet-bulb, relative humidity, dew point, humidity ratio, enthalpy, specific volume, density, and vapor pressure — for every design condition, so you don't need a separate psych chart lookup. When launched from HD PsyChart, HDClimatic can push a selected design condition straight into your project with one click.

Both IP and SI units are fully supported, with instant one-click switching between unit systems.

KEY FEATURES OF HDCLIMATIC
